KIDS IN THE KITCHEN – MAGICAL MOONCAKES

This Spring School Holiday, Willowbridge Shopping Centre invites children aged 4–12 to step into a world of sweet creativity with Magical Mooncakes – a hands-on, no-bake mooncake-making experience designed especially for children. Using a delicious chocolate and vanilla biscuit mooncake mixture, pre-prepared by our Mooncake Makers, children will choose from a selection of fillings before pressing, moulding and decorating their very own mooncakes to take home and enjoy.

WHAT IS A MOONCAKE:

A no-bake mooncake is a modern twist on the traditional Chinese pastry, with a dense, fudgy and creamy texture similar to a cake pop or cheesecake bite. Using crushed cookies and a creamy filling, children can mould, fill and decorate their own mooncakes – creating a fun, hands-on treat without using an oven.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Each child will receive pre-made mooncake dough (moon cake skin) made with chocolate and vanilla biscuits and dairy.
• Each child will receive two pre-made fillings: BarOne Cookie Blast and Cookies & Cream (containing cream cheese).
• Children will create their own Caramel Crunch filling.
• Each child will make a minimum of three Magical Mooncakes, approximately 50–60g each, depending on the filling.
• Children can choose from a variety of moon cake moulds, including cute animals and traditional-inspired designs.
• Mooncakes can be decorated with sprinkles and edible gold dust.
• Each child will receive a fortune cookie, which may contain a special treat for the child or parent. Event staff will assist with the surprise, and prizes can be redeemed from participating tenants.
• Each child will receive a plastic apron and chef hat to wear during the experience, as well as disposable gloves for those who prefer to wear them.
• A Magical Mooncakes photo frame will be available for a fun photo opportunity.
• 20 children per session, with each session lasting 45 minutes.

BY PURCHASING A TICKET TO THIS EVENT YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS:

• Recommended age is 4–12 years. We can accommodate 3-year-olds but they will require assistance from one parent.
• While every effort will be made to group children of similar ages together, this cannot be guaranteed and will be subject to bookings and attendance.
• Parents/guardians do not need to remain inside the event area during the session but must remain at Willowbridge Shopping Centre and be readily available should their child require assistance.
• Late arrivals may forfeit their booking if the session has already commenced.
• Tickets are valid for the date and time booked only and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Mooncakes contain cream cheese (milk/dairy).
• Ingredients are manufactured in a facility that may contain traces of nuts, gluten, eggs, soy and sesame.
• Willowbridge Shopping Centre cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
• Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring the ingredients are suitable for their child.
• Mooncakes should be refrigerated as soon as possible after the session and consumed within 3 days.
• Participants are encouraged to wash or sanitise their hands before the activity.
• Rude, abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards staff, parents, guardians or other children will not be tolerated.
• Willowbridge Shopping Centre reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant without a refund.
• Parents and guardians are responsible for their child’s belongings.
• Photographs and videos may be taken during the event for promotional purposes.
• Willowbridge Shopping Centre accepts no responsibility for any injury, allergic reaction, illness, loss or damage arising from participation.
• Willowbridge Shopping Centre reserves the right to amend or cancel the event, session times or these Terms & Conditions without prior notice.
